Splash Page option

A new "splash" page option for special marketing campaigns is now available on Red. Once activated, the page would take the place of the original site Home Page.

The splash page uses the same authoring system as the rest of Red, with new components created specific for the marketing uses of a splash page template. An example of a splash page in use is the advance.uic.edu IGNITE splash page.

Create the content of your Splash page by selecting the page in the dashboard. There are three sections to the page:

  • Top section which uses a background image and logo file with optional Title, link and buttons
  • Middle section which allows the use of 4 specific components: full size photo, text, one photo or video, two photos or videos
  • Bottom bar which creates the site identifier text

Once the page is formatted, site administrators can enable it through a check box in the Theme Settings.
