Update to Online Giving Sites

If you are using the Giving Form Component on your site, please note: this message was sent to campus financial aid officers and communicators on 9/4/24:

The University of Illinois Foundation has some exciting news to share! As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the online giving experience, we are migrating our current online giving platform to GiveCampus, a robust and user-friendly solution designed specifically for educational institutions.

A couple of high-level features that GiveCampus offers:

  1. Advanced Donation Forms: GiveCampus provides well-reviewed donation forms that streamline the giving process for donors. These customizable forms allow seamless integration with your department’s website.
  2. Expanded Payment Options: With GiveCampus, donors can choose from various payment methods, including credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and mobile wallets. This flexibility ensures a smoother donation experience for everyone.

Action Required: An update will be necessary if your department’s website contains a link to our current online giving checkout/payment page: https://portal.uif.uillinois.edu/. The Foundation team has been busy building replacement pages and requests your cooperation in swapping your current page for our pages developed in the new platform.

Please pass this message on to your website administrator. A representative from the project will be reaching out shortly with additional instructions.

Please let us know if your school or unit is not contacted in the next week or two, as we could have missed your page in our inventory of online giving sites.

As of Monday, September 30, 2024, the current checkout page will no longer be active. Any sites that have not been migrated will automatically be redirected to their respective main campus giving page upon checkout/payment.

If your web administrator has any questions or needs assistance during this transition, they should feel free to contact Bill Schurr, the Project Manager for this effort. Bill can direct them to the necessary resources and provide guidance.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a successful migration. Wishing you a fantastic start to the new academic year!

Best regards,

Mike Davis
